SOLUTION FINDER

Describe the measurement point

RECOMMENDED STARTING POINT

Inline turbidity meter

Best suited for fast product-to-water transitions, CIP return detection and product-loss reduction.

  • Confirm process connection and pipe diameter
  • Avoid installation immediately next to a pump
  • Define the switching threshold during commissioning

FIELD TOOLKIT

Fast checks before calling support

Turbidity reading is noisy
  1. Check whether the sensor is close to a pump or restriction.
  2. Confirm the pipe stays completely full.
  3. Look for air bubbles or turbulence in the sight glass.
  4. Compare readings with the pump stopped, if safe.
  5. Consider relocating the sensor at least 6 ft from the pump.
Reading does not return to zero
  1. Inspect and clean the optical lens.
  2. Confirm the tri-clamp is not plugged.
  3. Remove the sensor and test it in clean water.
  4. Then test with a known product, such as 2% milk.
UV BOD/COD meter is offline
  1. Check power to the sensor and controller.
  2. Inspect junction boxes for water intrusion.
  3. Verify communication wiring and Modbus settings.
  4. If temperature exceeded 122°F, allow the LED to cool and restart automatically.
Before commissioning
  1. Confirm 24 VDC power and panel space.
  2. Confirm 4–20 mA or Modbus wiring is ready.
  3. Verify the process connection and mounting hardware.
  4. Prepare representative samples and lab access.
